Our last full day on Milos. It has been an absolutely fabulous time made even better by the beautiful weather and the lack of tourists. The beaches, restaurants, shops and roads are all devoid of those summer thongs of sun seeking wayfarers! Today we’re headed to the north shore and the village of Mandrakia. Our waiter last night told us we needed to have lunch at Medusa, a fresh seafood spot right on the water so far be it from us to not take a great recommendation. It’s a 15 minute drive from our hotel villa and today is another beautiful day with partly cloudy skies and warm temps of approximately 77 degrees. I think I’m ready for some fresh calamari (the season for squid fishing just opened on October 1st) washed down with an ice cold Mythos beer. Debb is looking for fresh, grilled vegetables. This place is quaint, with a great local vibe. They’re only open 1 more week then closed for the season and not reopening until next May. What a great find.
