At 60.57 degrees North latitude, Ulvik is a village of only 1,131 residents making the population density scarcely 1.7 per square kilometre! The Ulvik municipality stretches from the Hardangerfjord to the mountains that reach 1,800 metres (5,900 feet) above sea level making the vistas spectacular on a clear day. Today is the longest day of the year in the northern hemisphere, and daylight will linger until past midnight. Today we dodged raindrops and strong winds to tour around Ulvik & Eidfjord. It’s beautiful country but for the first day of summer, it’s COLD!
