June 19 - Kristiansand 🇳🇴

With a population of 90,000, Kristiansand is the 5th largest city in Norway. One of the fastest growing regions in Scandinavia thanks to its industries and geographical location, lying on the southernmost tip of Norway, Kristiansand offers picturesque streetscapes, traditional & colorful Norwegian architecture and cultural highlights. The region is known for its mild & sunny climate (though not today) and the coastline is famous for its 1000 islands. Today Debb met a moose she couldn’t resist!

The neo-gothic church is the 4th one built on this site as the first three burned to the ground. The present church was built in 1885. The tower is 70 metres high.

Christianholm fortress was built in 1641 to defend the town from Viking invasions
